    The Prince of the Eastern Province sponsors the "Environment Forum 2020 ... Towards a healthy and sustainable environment"​

    His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, The Prince of the Eastern Province, sponsors the "Environment Forum 2020 ... Towards a sustainable healthy environment", which is organized by the Asharqia Chamber (via video call) on Monday 28 / September / 2020 corresponding to 11 / Safar / 1442 at half-past ten in the morning.

    The Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that His Highness’s sponsorship of this event - and other events - confirms the extent of His Highness’s keenness on everything that matters to the country and the citizen, and his follow-up of the activities carried out by the private sector.
    Al-Khalidi clarified that the forum will witness the participation of a number of experts and specialists in environmental, desertification, and wildlife issues, including official government officials concerned with this matter.
    For this part, The Chairman of the Environment Committee of the Asharqia Chamber, Talal bin Sultan Al-Rasheed, said that the forum will address two important axes, the first axis related to the role of regulations and legislation in environmental sustainability, while the second axis deals with the issue of desertification and ways to combat it, and the promotion of wildlife and its impact on the issue of preserving the environment.​
    The first aspect, and in the first session, the forum - according to al-Rasheed - deals with several topics in the first session entitled (The role of regulations and legislation in environmental sustainability), including environmental legislation and its impact on environmental sustainability, environmental agreements at the international level, the reality and prospects of environmental systems in the Kingdom The development of environmental systems in the Kingdom, the impact of the application of environmental regulations on the private sector, the impact of the Corona crisis on the environmental sector.​
    As for the second session, the forum deals with the National Strategy for the Environment, the National Center for Plant Cover Development and Combating Desertification, the role of the National Center for Wildlife Development, the issue of desertification, its concept, manifestations, mechanisms to deal with it, ways to combat it, and the international experience in that, while also touching on the Kingdom's experience in developing human life.
